AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire is committed to helping you stay healthy. In addition to the covered services required by New Hampshire Medicaid, we offer extra benefits to help you.

CARE Card*

With our CARE Card program, you can receive rewards for completing health-related activities (up to a $250 value per member per year).

 
 

Need a dentist?

As of April 1, 2023, New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services started offering expanded dental benefits to those age 21 and older through the New Hampshire Medicaid program. This is now handled by DentaQuest. If you have any questions about the dental benefit offered through DentaQuest, please call them at 1-844-583-6151.

 

The children and adolescent dental benefit, for individuals younger than 21 years of age, is not changing and remains under the management of NH Medicaid.

 

Make an appointment to see your primary care provider (PCP). 

Your provider will talk with you about your health, medications, safety, housing, and food security. This is sometimes called a Health Risk Assessment (HRA). When your provider lets us know you’ve had this discussion, you may earn $30* on your CARE Card.

Wellness

 

Vision credit

Members 21 and older can get $100 per year for prescription contact lenses, in addition to the standard benefits for eye exams and glasses.

 

Car seats and booster seats*

We provide a car seat or booster seat at no cost to you for each child member, up to a $210 value.

 

Wellness you can wear

AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire members who go to their pediatrician for their annual well-child exam will be entered into a raffle (PDF) to win an Adidas® gift card ($120 value) for ages 12 – 17 or a bike helmet (up to a $35 value) for ages 2 – 16.

 

Care for children with asthma

We make home visits to qualifying members to address home-based asthma.

To qualify, members must be ages 2 to 18 years, enrolled in Care Management, and have had an asthma-related hospital or ER stay in the last six months. To enroll, please call Member Services at 1-833-704-1177 (TTY 1-855-534-6730).

WW® (formerly Weight Watchers®) membership*

At AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire, we care about your health. That’s why we offer qualified members a three-month premium access code (up to a $133* value) for you to:

  • Use the WW app, which has many helpful resources.
  • Join in-person and virtual workshops.

Community transportation

Receive up to 14 one-way rides to destinations such as grocery stores, laundromats, job interviews, and exams.

Mission GED®*

AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire provides supports through our Mission GED® program to qualifying adult members pursuing their high school equivalency credentials, including up to $125 toward the cost of the New Hampshire HiSET® exam. Learn more about the Mission GED® program.

Flexible recovery benefit to support recovery*

Members may receive up to a $500 credit to access alternative peer recovery support services available after completing a non-hospital substance use disorder residential treatment program. Services available are subject to a $500 lifetime limit, and some are also subject to the $250 annual reward limit. Services include massage, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and transportation.

Home-delivered meals after a hospital stay*

Members being discharged after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay can receive home-delivered meals (14 meals/seven days) after discharge. Qualifying stays include those for new moms in recovery from substance use disorder, members with substance use disorder who successfully complete an inpatient substance use disorder treatment program as part of the Flexible Recovery Benefit, and adult members (ages 21 to 64) with heart disease or diabetes. Meals for members with dietary restrictions are prepared according to dietary guidelines (up to a $98 value).

Living Beyond Pain program

Members living with chronic pain can enroll in care coordination to access alternative pain management strategies as part of a person-centered plan. Members can get referrals to and coverage for appropriate pain management alternatives such as massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic therapy, not to exceed 12 visits each of acupuncture and chiropractic therapy per member per benefit year.*** Referral and coverage of services is facilitated through a Care Coordinator as part of a member-centered plan of care statewide.

Peer respite transportation*

Transportation to state-covered respite services to remove access barriers for members in need of peer respite (up to a $175 value).

It can be hard to focus on your health if you have problems with your housing or worry about having enough food to feed your family. AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire can connect you to resources in your community to help you manage issues beyond your medical care.

  • Worry about your living conditions.
  • Struggle to get enough food to feed yourself or your family.
  • Find it hard to get to appointments, work, or school.
  • Feel unsafe or experience violence. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Pulsewrx Lifeline Wireless Program

Need help getting a smartphone? AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire members may qualify for the Lifeline Wireless program that includes a no-cost smartphone with talk, text, and 4.5 GB data.
